May's Fairytale Wedding

Every bride dreams of a fairytale wedding, and for Mayadda, that became a reality.

Her wedding was grand in every form, from the gold embroidery on her dress to the lace on the cuffs, the hair, tiara, jewels, and flowers; she looked every bit the princess.

And a princess can't get to her own ball without a horse carriage - and May had exactly that.

Her bouquet was made up of soft pink roses, white oriental lilies, magnolia leaves, and crystals nestled in white feathers with organza ribbon.

There were so many images to choose from, but settled with this to end our post.

An adoring photo capturing the beauty of love.

Special thank you to the gorgeous May for the photos x

Royal Wedding Flowers

With only five days left till the royal wedding, we can't wait to see what flowers Kate Middleton will be holding.

Will it be the traditional teardrop-shaped bouquet?
Will it be all white?
Or will she go for something different?
There are even rumours that she'll have flowers in her hair instead of a tiara!

Whatever she chooses is guaranteed to be a trendsetter, just as Princess Diana's trailing bouquet was.

Princess Diana's timeless bouquet comprised of gardenias, freesias, Lily of the Valley, Myrtle and Ivy among others. The design was specifically requested to compliment her dress.

We've put some photos together of royal wedding flowers over recent years. Have a browse and tell us which are your favourites!

"I'd rather have roses on my table than diamonds on my neck."

I came across this quote by Emma Goldman:

"I'd rather have roses on my table than diamonds on my neck"

I think it's beautiful! Flowers bring so much joy to people.

Image above: We had an order for several vases to be filled with white roses to brighten up a home.

Here are some more images of roses on our website:

Lily Love

"When you have only two pennies left in the world, buy a loaf of bread with one, and a lily with the other." - Chinese Proverb

With more than 100 species of lilies such as the Tiger Lily, Madona Lily, Calla Lily and Stargazer, lillies have a huge significance in many cultures.

The lily in particular holds a special place for the Chinese - particularly during New Year celebrations - who believe that the family's fortune would be impacted negatively if there are no flowers in the house, hence the proverb.

The lillies pictured in the image above were specially arranged for an engagament cake top.

Here's a link to a selection of our floral arrangements with lillies for all occassions: Lily Blooms

Cecilia's Spring Wedding

Last week we received a lovely email from Cecilia, a beautiful bride who came to us for her wedding flowers last year.

Cecilia tied the knot in the Spring of 2010. She requested different shades of pinks for her bouquet, and blue Singapore orchids for the bridesmaids and table centrepieces.

Here's what she had to say about Blooms 'N More:

"It was beautiful and everyone loved the blue flowers ... all the guests wanted to take them home.
"I just want to say a big big thank  you for all your help, without these beautiful flowers my wedding wouldn't be perfect like this."

We're overwhelmed by her lovely words and want to thank her for taking the time to write to us & send us photos. Check out the shots below:
